The Tumbleweed A Silent Assassin
Weeds, you think they’re harmless right. It is simple right? You pull them and ship them off to the garbage dump. Yes, they look brittle and dry. And the roll around aimlessly taking wherever the wind takes them. And if you think that, you might want to reconsider. You see, Tumbleweeds are the deadly and sneaky assassin of the weed world. They silently lurk beneath the surface, plotting to ruin your well groomed garden. And with their tangled roots they will sabotage your every move.
You confront the tangled, thorny hairball and pull it out from the earth. You raise both arms with the weed grasped in your hand as if it were a trophy. A sign of the weeds defeat. As you are doing your celebratory pose. You realize a burning and stinging sensation in your hands. Wondering what is causing the pain you look down at your hands.
There it is a bunch or thorns has made it through your gloves. Causing your pain receptors to go wild. Your mind races and your body responds to the pain causing you to do a silly dance. To relieve the pain you pull out the thorns one by one. Once the pain settles and you are no longer whining you take a look around. Your mind is triggering the flight or fight mode again. You just destroyed one tumbleweed from an army!
