As a kid I was fascinated by Snakes. I remember being at the zoo and bugging my mom, until she took me to see the reptile exhibit. To some people snakes are terrifying, my Dad being one of them. He called me over to take care of a rattle snake one time at his house. Whether snakes frighten you are not, they are worth being aware of, living out in the desert, especially if you have children or pets. The only poisonous snakes native to Nevada are rattlesnakes. Rattlesnakes are more active when its warmer, and can be found near warm objects when the sun goes down. My Dad came across one resting next to a warm car tire, after driving.
